Lauren Conrad opens up about boyfriend William Tell, her new book, Kristin Cavallari, and more

Lauren Conrad promotes her book 'Starstruck' at Barnes & Noble in New York City, United States.

Can you believe its been over 4 years since Lauren Conrad made her dramatic limo-ride exit from The Hills? Well, it has. The former reality star moved on from the series and onto many other exciting things including a couple of clothing lines, a book series, and a new boyfriend. In a handful of new interviews ahead of the release of her third and final book of The Fame Games series, Lauren is opening up about her hectic life.

When Lauren first made her debut on The Hills, following her stint on Laguna Beach, she and friends Heidi Montag and Audrina Patridge frequented all of the hotspots in Hollywood but now that she’s older, she’s downright tired of that scene. “It feels done for me. I’m OK with it being done,” Lauren tells Marie Claire. “I destroyed my voice when I moved to L.A. There are polyps all over my vocal chords because I was in a lot of loud places. If you listen to the first episode of Laguna, my voice is completely different.”

Lauren Conrad and William Tell on Valentine's Day

Instead of Les Deux, Lauren prefers to spend time with her close friends and boyfriend, William Tell, whom she met on a blind date on Valentine’s Day in 2012. “He is very good for me because we have a lot in common as far as where we grew up,” she tells the mag of her 32-year-old boyfriend of 16 months. “It’s the first time I’m with someone and I’m not explaining things. He also has experience in the entertainment industry, so he understands a lot of things that people don’t always get.”

Lauren’s new book, Infamous, is the last in The Fame Games series — a spinoff of her original series L.A. Candy. “This is my third and final in a series I did called The Fame Games, so it’s about a group of girls who are on a reality show and just the things that go on behind camera and little behind-the-scenes information,” Lauren said in a second interview with E! News.

When it comes to her schedule, Lauren is a busy bee, but for her, she doesn’t see herself as different than any other working American. “I think it’s the same as anybody—I’m sure you deal with this as well,” she tells new mommy Giuliana Rancic. “There’s a lot more traveling and stuff in this business, but just like anybody else who works, at the end of the day, you take off your work hat and you just enjoy your friends and everyone around you and wake up and do it all over again.”

As for her former nemesis (and newlywed) Kristin Cavallari, Lauren and her smoothed things over long ago. However, that definitely didn’t mean that they became friends. As Lauren explains, “I haven’t seen her in years, maybe.”
