Kylie Jenner plans her own reality show with Tyga: Would you watch?
The latest rumors might be that Kylie Jenner is “a complete mess” and all but checked into rehab–but they won’t stop the 17-year-old from achieving her dream of total freedom from the rest of her family.
Kylie Jenner is reportedly in talks to start her own reality TV show. The spin-off from Keeping Up with the Kardashians would focus on Kylie’s relationship with Tyga, the 25-year-old rapper who’s allegedly waiting for Kylie’s 18th birthday to “put a baby in her” and start their lives together properly. She’ll have to kick the reported addictions to “Xanax and coke” first; after that, though, Kylie is on-board.
But, if the rumors are to be believed, Kris Jenner is both in favor of the idea and helping Kylie to get production started: “Kris has always loved the idea of Kylie having her own reality show,” says a family friend. “She has been toying with the idea for some time now.”
It’s probably worth noting at this point that Caitlyn Jenner’s own spin-off, I Am Cait, will debut this summer, and already looks to be a huge ratings success. So, if it’s E!’s plan to turn the Kardashians into a true reality TV empire one personality at a time, the ongoing drama of Kylie’s life would be a natural next step.
There have been KUWTK spin-offs before, but none starring just one member of the family. E!, though, believes that there’s enough interest in Kylie to fuel her own series. According to an insider at the network, “Kylie has a lot going for her, and Kris feels like she’s a fan favorite. She has tremendous potential and talent, enough to carry her own show, that’s for sure.”
And, yes, the premise of the show–at least initially–would be centered around both Kylie Jenner and Tyga, despite the occasionally unstable state of their relationship: “Tyga would most definitely be part of the show. It would basically follow Kylie as she pursues her music career and other endeavors.”
The report flies in the face of the most recent rumors regarding Kylie and Tyga, which is that both Kris and Caitlyn (Bruce at the time) disapprove of the pair, because of Tyga’s ongoing feud with Blac Chyna. That kind of fighting, say insiders, is not something the Jenner parents want their youngest mixed up in. A Kylie Jenner-based reality show, though, would almost certainly mean more drama for Kylie, and not less.
