VIDEO: Heidi Klum saved son Henry and nanny from drowning in Hawaii
While on vacation in Oahu, Hawaii this past weekend Heidi Klum’s 7-year-old son Henry and one of his nannies got swept away in a riptide. Thankfully Heidi and her boyfriend Martin Kristen were able to save them.
She tells US Weekly about their harrowing Easter experience: “We got pulled into the ocean by a big wave. Of course, as a mother, I was very scared for my child and everyone else in the water. Henry is a strong swimmer and was able to swim back to land. We were able to get everyone out safely.”
Here are some photographs from the scary time:
Prior to the incident, 39-year-old Heidi tweeted a fun picture of Easter eggs. Her family, including her other children Leni (8,) Johan (6,) and Lou (3,) had started their Hawaiian vacation March 24.
Heidi was recently named as the fourth judge on America’s Got Talent. She joins Mel B, Howie Mandel, and Howard Stern.
