Heather Thomson is leaving The Real Housewives of New York City

Instead of saying “holla” Heather is saying “see ya” to The Real Housewives of New York City. After speculation began earlier this summer that she was leaving the show, Heather has now confirmed the news herself.

“When the opportunity came to do this show, I had this list of pros and cons,” she tells told Us. “Three years in, the pros list is just gone. They don’t exist anymore.”

The mother-of-two made no secret she was burning the candle from both ends balancing motherhood, running her own business, and starring in a reality TV show. “The long shooting days don’t work for me anymore,” she explained.

While it doesn’t sound like Heather is leaving on bad terms per se, it’s clear she’s over it. And who can blame her? She’s butted heads with nearly every housewife culminating this season with huge blowouts with co-stars Bethenny, Dorinda, and Sonja.

Earlier reports all but confirmed the bickering between cast mates was the final straw. “She did the show to promote her business and later to be with her best friend, Carole Radziwill, and didn’t expect it to end up with fighting with Bethenny and Sonja and the rest edited out,” a source claimed.

RHONY

Despite the on-screen tensions, Heather says Andy Cohen is completely understanding about her decision to leave. “He knows I have a big business that needs my focus. He’s proud of me and the job that I did on the show. He graciously complimented my integrity, who I am and who I’ve always been.”

We wish Heather all the best!
