Police in the noted college town of Athens, Georgia, found themselves on the wrong end of a joke when they responded to a report of a naked man dancing in a downtown street.
The man was indeed dancing in the street outside popular downtown strip club Toppers, though he was also clad in a pair of boxer shorts.
He also, as noted in the incident report, weighed approximately 400 pounds.
Said the responding offer in his report:
I attempted to engage the male in conversation and confirm his state of mind. He kept informing me that he wanted to try out as a dancer and that they were discriminating against him by not letting him try out.
And so the man continued to dance and flutter about, until he found himself in handcuffs.

When a second officer arrived, though, the dancing man identified himself as Ramsey Moore, an actor from Los Angeles. A set supervisor and two cameramen also emerged from an RV and minivan parked across the street, and clarified that Moore had been performing as part of a bit for a new CMT reality show.
The police, by this point as red in the face as a UGA t-shirt, ordered the production crew out of the street. They continued to film from the sidewalk.
Among the others filming: many among the crowd, about 100 strong, that had gathered to watch the incident.
The show, Party Down South, has been filming in the college town for several weeks.
