Empire Season 2 cast photos (aka The Cookie Bunch)
The most fun show on network television returns on September 23, when the hip hop moguls of Fox’s Empire come back for the show’s highly-anticipated second season. To help tide fans over until then, the network released the first official cast photos of the main players–including Terrence Howard as Lucious Lyon and, of course, Taraji P. Henson as the ex-convictacular HBIC Cookie Lyon.
Before we get to the photos, I feel I should point out that Empire beat out Game of Thrones, Mad Men, Transparent and The Americans to take home Program of the Year at the Television Critics Association Awards this weekend.
The top honor, decided on by more than 200 journalists who cover television for publications across the United States and Canada, will certainly put a smile on the faces of the cast and crew of the show. Empire was snubbed by the EMMYs in the Outstanding Drama Series category this year. (Though Taraji P. Henson was nominated for the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series EMMY.)
