Did Taylor Swift crash a Kennedy wedding?
Vicki Kennedy (Victoria Gifford Kennedy) told the media that Taylor Swift and boyfriend Conor Kennedy crashed her daughter’s wedding this weekend. Vicki’s daughter Kyle Kennedy (the daughter of Vicki and the late Michael Kennedy, and Conor Kennedy’s cousin) married Liam Kerr at Boston’s Fairmont Copley Plaza this past weekend.
She told the Boston Herald:
“They texted me an hour before the wedding and asked if they could come. I responded with a very clear, ‘Please do not come.’ They came anyway. … I personally went up to Ms. Swift, whose entrance distracted the entire event, politely introduced myself to her, and asked her as nicely as I could to leave. It was like talking to a ghost. She seemed to look right past me.”
Taylor’s rep told E! News that the whole story was made up. To back that up, Taylor was seen hanging out with the family all weekend with zero tension.
Something definitely sounds fishy with Vicki’s story. Why wouldn’t she want her daughter’s cousin to attend the wedding? Did she just want a little press?
UPDATE September 2012: Kathie Lee Gifford supported Vicki Kennedy’s story that Taylor and Conor were asked to leave the wedding “twice.”
“Why can’t I stay out of trouble? I was just a guest at that wedding. [Kyle] is actually my granddaughter by marriage. The truth is, because I was there, Vicki’s account is accurate.”
