Chris Brown has just been charged with a hit and run in his recent fender bender in Beverly Hills. According to reports, Chris allegedly gave the driver of the vehicle he hit incorrect identification as well as false insurance information. Now that he’s been charged, Chris could be found guilty of a probation violation and thrown behind bars.

Radar Online states that if convicted, Chris could receive a maximum of six months in jail for each charge in the hit and run case. In addition, if he is deemed in violation of his probation (Chris is still on probation for his assault on Rihanna), he could serve a total of four years.

Shortly after leaving the court room, Chris took to Twitter where he proclaimed his innocence.

“It’s not a hit and run if u get out the car, exchange information (who has NO DAMAGE to either cars). This is really ridiculous,” Chris wrote. “I have a valid drivers license and I gave the woman the right info. She saw cameras and wanted to make a scene. She contacted the cops thinking of a payday from Chris Brown when I followed the proper procedures.”

“My lawyers will be contacting you. I will not stand for this bullying and yellow journalism!”

Chris also changed his profile photo on Twitter to a picture taken by paparazzi at the time of the incident which shows his on-again, off-again girlfriend Karrueche Tran photographing the vehicle he had hit. He also made his background the photo she had taken.

“My profile pic is the pic I took of the persons car after ‘the hit and run.’ NO damage. Just a dirty car,” Chris explained. “Once again, I gotta clear my name.”
