INTERVIEW Cheerleader Generation’s Donna Martin & Ryan O’Connor on two lifetimes of cheer, and 3 reality shows
We talk with cheerleading coaches Donna Martin and Ryan O’Connor, the mother and daughter stars of Lifetime’s new reality series Cheerleader Generation, which premieres Tuesday night at 10/9c. Donna has more than 30 years of experience coaching the Dunbar High School squad in Lexington, Kentucky. She has won 8 national titles during that time, including four with her daughter Ryan as a member of the squad. Ryan has followed in her mother’s footsteps, but she has chosen to coach on the collegiate level and is now the coach at The University of Mississippi. In addition to their cheerleading experience, the two also have quite a bit of reality TV experience. This will be the third time they will be featured on a reality show, with their first appearance dating all the way back to 2001!
