Woman arrested after trying to sell kids on Facebook for boyfriend’s bail

So what do you do if your boyfriend’s in jail and you can’t afford his bail? Sell the kids! At least that was the conclusion of 22-year-old Misty VanHorn of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, who attempted to sell her 10-month-old and 2-year-old daughters to get the $1,000 needed to spring her boyfriend out of the big house. VanHorn contacted a woman on Facebook, offering up her two children in exchange for cash, but unfortunately for VanHorn her plan backfired.

Study shows more people are taking Facebook vacations

For the longest time, every story about Facebook seemed to be along the lines of “It’s Taking Over the World.” Then the craziest thing happened: People stopped caring as much about what “friends” were eating, wearing or ranting about. Now, according to a study from the Pew Research Center, more than 60 percent of adult Facebook users have decided to log-off for an extended period of time.

Beis Rivkah High School fines girls $100 for having a Facebook account; plus, employers can demand your Facebook password

Having a Facebook account these days is turning out to be a hassle!

There’s a report of an all girls high school in Brooklyn, Beis Rivkah High School, fining students in the 11th grade $100 if they have a Facebook account! Girls were pulled out of class, and handed slips telling them they had to delete their Facebook accounts right away, AND pay $100. If they didn’t do both things, they would be expelled from school. The fine will be returned at the end of the school year.
