Atlanta Housewife Kandi Burruss lands her own special

"The Kandy Factory" Kandi Burruss

Bravo is making a bet that their viewers would love a little more Kandi in their diet as Atlanta Housewife Kandi Burruss has landed her own spin-off to be called “The Kandi Factory.”

Burruss is a busy lady, starring on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, constantly lookin’ fine and launching her own line of sex toys called “Bedroom Kandi.” Well now you can add her very own special as her home network has officially announced that the Atlanta socialite will try to recreate her Zolciak hit-making prowess in a music themed quasi American Idol format program.

According to an official statement from Bravo:

“Burruss will give two protégés the opportunity to come to Atlanta and learn the fundamentals of pop music success. … Burruss and her team of experts at ‘The Kandi Factory’ will work with the two contestants in order to turn them into music superstars.”

Kandi as Jermaine Dupri. I kind of like the concept! Bravo didn’t give any particulars like when this will come out or who these protégés will be but they did explain in a little further detail as to why they think the show can be a success:

“Ever since Burruss turned Kim Zolciak‘s single ‘Tardy for the Party’ into a digital download phenomenon, she has been bombarded by thousands of wannabe artists desperate for her popstar secrets. Burruss believes she can turn anyone with raw talent and drive into ’something hot’ and wants to give aspiring artists a shot at their dream.”

Of course I welcome any chance to reshow a Real Housewives song clip so here’s the impetus for Kandi getting her own special in the form of fellow ATL Housewife Kim Zolciak’s “Tardy For the Party.”

Kandi was kind and thoughtful enough to tweet out to her followers on how they can audition for the show:
