Sad, sad news for Diem Brown. After being diagnosed with cancer for the third time, doctor’s recently discovered the cancer in her stomach and colon has spread to her liver and lymph nodes.
This comes as a major blow for the 32-year-old who has been struggling with cancer on and off for the last 10 years.
The Challenge star told People that news of the cancer spreading was a “shocker.” Diem admitted, “I was blown away. It really crushed a little bit of my spirit.”
Most recently, Diem underwent a procedure to replace a stent in one of her kidneys. “Waking up from that surgery was horrific. I was told it was going to be easy. I woke up screaming, ‘You are all liars!’ I was so angry. It was so painful.”
She has also been struggling with the after effects of her latest chemo treatment saying the pain was nearly unbearable.
“I would go in the bathtub and just lay down for hours, with the water running,” she says. “I’ve never had a reaction to chemo the way I just had with this one.”
Despite the torturous regimen Diem in facing in order to overcome this disease, she remains optimistic for the future. She stands by her previous promise to beat cancer once and for all and achieve her life long goal of becoming a mother.
Diem’s family has created an online support page for Diem on MedGift, an organization created by Diem to provide gifts for those suffering from serious illness.
