I’m guessing that if Nick Carter sent sister Angel Carter an invitation to his upcoming wedding, she’s checking the “will not attend” box… Because Nick just skipped Angel’s nuptials for his own bachelor party in Las Vegas.
Angel, who is Aaron Carter’s twin sister, tied the knot with Corey Conrad in California on Saturday night. Us Weekly reports Nick was supposed to walk Angel down the aisle, but Aaron stepped up when the Backstreet Boy was a no-show.
“Aaron was both overjoyed and honored to walk Angel down the aisle on her wedding day and be with his family on such a wonderful and important occasion,” Aaron’s representative told Too Fab — taking a possible dig at older brother Nick, who was partying it up in Las Vegas while his sister said “I do.”
Nick and fiancée Lauren Kitt held a shared bachelor/bachelorette party at the Palms Casino and Resort. Las Vegas Sun reports the celebrations began on Friday night and extended through early Sunday morning. Nick mentioned to the Sun reporter that he’s filming a wedding-related reality show for VH1.
As the 2006 series House of Carters demonstrated, the Carter family is pretty dysfunctional. Relations among the siblings (shown together in 2006 at top), became even more strained when Leslie (middle in top picture) died of an overdose in 2012. Nick didn’t go to the funeral.
“I wanted to be at my sister’s funeral, but my family has always had a complicated dynamic,” he told TMZ. Sources close to Nick added family members seemed to go out of their way to ensure Nick wouldn’t attend.
Seemingly caught in the middle of the struggle is Aaron, who seems to have a good relationship with Nick. They were even caught by TMZ during a shopping trip last month. Nick then informed the photographers that Aaron’s better than Justin Bieber.
