Chris Brown “can’t be focused on wife-ing” Rihanna

Chris Brown and Rihanna first began dating in 2008 after a couple of years of being “just friends.” All was well until that fateful night of February 8, 2009 when Chris assaulted Rihanna, leaving her swollen, bruised, and scratched. While many assumed that would be the end of their relationship, it wasn’t. The two reconciled late last year and broadcasted their relationship openly on social media. Now, just days after celebrating his 24th birthday with ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran in Las Vegas, Chris is announcing that he and Rihanna have once again parted ways.

“Imma do it solo,” Chris said during a radio interview on The Kyle And Jackie Show, adding that his and Rihanna’s busy schedules have proved difficult. “I mean, at the end of the day, shawty doing her own thang, she on the road. It’s always gonna be love. I’m a grown man, just gotta fast forward.”

Chris may be feel all grown up, but at the end of the day, he’s just 24 and has plenty of time ahead of him. Rihanna, on the other hand, has expressed interest in settling down and having a baby “soon.”

“I’m always gonna love that person. I can’t be focused on wife-ing someone that young. I need to be the best Chris Brown I can be,” he explained.

In addition to celebrating his birthday with Karrueche, Chris was also seen with his former love late last week at Emerson Nightclub in Hollywood. However, the two didn’t seem to be in a romantic relationship. “He didn’t appear to be paying much attention to her and was partying around a lot of girls,” a source revealed to Us Weekly.

And that could have something to do with his on-again, off-again relationship with Rihanna. The source add, “Of course tomorrow they could be all over each other again, but for now she’s done and just living her life and touring. It’s how it always is.”
