Former child star Amanda Bynes had a pretty rough year last year. She made headlines for her multiple hit and runs, drug use reports, and her infamous pinching match with a Los Angeles photog. Since then, she moved to New York and kept a much lower profile — at least for the most part — and earlier this week, she debut a new look to go with her new attitude.
“Wink ;)” was the caption to the photo you see above right (and below) of the “new Amanda” which she shared on Twitter on Sunday. It sure is a different look than we are used to seeing from Amanda. The camo top, the beanie, the cheek piercings, the dark make-up — she sort of looks like a hip hop star (Lil Kim perhaps?). Could this mean that she’s preparing to drop a single on us?!
As amazing as that would surely be, Amanda seems to want nothing more than to just live like a non-celebrity. The last we heard from Amanda, she told Us Weekly, “I’m 26, a multi-millionaire, retired. Please respect my privacy.”
Also on Amanda’s Twitter account have been some heartfelt messages which seem to hint of a possible love interest. “If it is meant to be, our hearts will find each other when we meet. And if our hearts melt together so will our bodies and souls,” she wrote on Sunday just after debuting her new look. Then, around 2:00AM this morning, she wrote, “Love is when two people who have been apart for years want to be alone forever.”
