After twelve years together, Will Arnett and Amy Poehler split!

Nooooooooo!

After nine years of marriage and twelve years of being together, funny couple Amy Poehler and Will Arnett are separating!

Poehler’s rep confirmed the split to The Washington Post‘s Celebritology.

Amy and Will were married August 29, 2003, and have two kids: Archie, 3, and Abel, 2 (which are awesome names, btw, for kids of two comedians.)

They seemed like the perfect pairing: they are both hilarious, and just seem like good people. Just this year Amy raved about her husband to Katie Couric in Glamour magazine:

“I was always attracted to funny people, and Will is so talented and funny. We are genuinely each other’s fans and we love what the other does. I don’t know a lot of other couples where you’re with your partner and you’re like, ‘I love what you do at work!'”

Amy is currently killing as Leslie Knope in the NBC sitcom Parks & Recreation, while Will stars with Christina Applegate in Up All Night, another NBC sitcom, and they’ve both been nominated for Emmy Awards (which airs September 23.) Both Parks and Recreation, and Up All Night premiere this fall Thursday, September 20, 2012. Will will also appear in the much anticipated Arrested Development movie, if it ever really happens (here’s to hoping it does!)

Will actually guest starred on Parks & Rec as a horrible blind date for Leslie:

This is actually Will’s second divorce. He was briefly married to The Artist actress Penelope Ann Miller in 1995.
