Of course, tonight’s episode of This is Life Live features two tearjerking stories. One is a woman’s quest to connect with her biological family and the other is the story of James, who suffered neurological brain damage after collapsing during a run seven years ago. He’s defied medical odds to recover and now wants to reconnect with the people who helped save him, including the man who found him on the side of the road. Doctors didn’t think he would last 24 hours, but he’s continuing to thrive and improve to this day.
James continues to pass milestones like speaking sitting in a chair and brushing his teeth by himself. Although he has a damaged neurological connection between his muscles and brain that prevent him from moving or talking normally, his brain function is just like before.
