16-year-old Vincent Parker brutally murdered his parents because they took his iPod

Vincent Parker Convicted of Murder

Vincent Parker, sophomore honor-roll student from Virginia, pled guilty to two counts of second-degree murder last Wednesday. During his courtroom confession, he admitted to brutally murdering his mom and dad after they took away his “iPod and stuff.”

The teenager detailed his Dec. 19, 2013 crimes to the court, according to WTKR. Vincent — who was deemed “sane and intelligent” by a psychiatrist — said he first attacked mom Carol Parker with pepper spray before stabbing her in the eye and beating her with a crowbar and baseball bat “until she stopped breathing.” The medical examiner reported 25 separate gashes to Carol’s neck, face and head.

When dad Wayne Parker returned home later in the day, Vincent attacked him with the same crowbar and bat. Wayne lived to call 911, but died at the hospital.

Vincent Parker's Parents

Vincent, an only child, initially told investigators his dad was the aggressor. He later admitted to the murders. He said in a police statement, “I just remember getting mad. It’s all from my dad. All this stuff like my dad taking away my iPod and stuff.”

The 16-year-old was charged as an adult and will face sentencing in September. His grandfather told WTKR he hopes the judge will consider a minimal term.

“I want him to get some type of counseling,” said Allen Taylor, Carol’s father. “Help him to grow up and be an understanding man. Be sorry for what he did do. I told him to ask God to forgive him for what he did. We had to give it to God. He is the only one who can help us now.”
