VIDEO MTV’s The Challenge’s newest format: former champions vs real-life athletes

The Challenge Special Champs vs Pros

Season 29 of MTV’s The Challenge Invasion of the Champions just wrapped (spoilers ahead), and it’s rumored that filming for season 30 may already be underway. But that’s not stopping MTV from releasing a special, 6-week Challenge event unlike anything we’ve ever seen before.

Rather than pitting reality stars against each other, MTV is taking ten former Challenge winners and letting them duke it out with real life athletes! It will aptly be named The Challenge: Champs vs Pros.

Here’s the official synopsis from MTV along with the trailer:

Each episode of the six-week especial event THE CHALLENGE: CHAMPS VS PROS will focus on a different strength: Agility, Ingenuity, Brawn, Brains, Endurance, and Guts. Every week the winning team’s captain will choose one member of their team to go into the elimination round and the rest of the team will vote in their opponent. The losing team’s captain is automatically sent into elimination and their team will also nominate their opponent. The final male and female competitors of the season will be put to the ultimate test, showcasing each strength in one heart-pounding race for the chance to win $50,000 to donate to their favorite charity.

  • I’am freelancing over the web, completing normal tasks that just requires from you desktop computer or simply laptop as well as internet accessibility and I couldn’t be thrilled… Six months have passed on since i started this and also i gained up to now as a whole $36,000… Basically i profit around $80 each hour and work for 3 to 4 h everyday. And appreciable point about this job is that you can make a decision when to work on your own and for how long and you receive money at the end of each week.>>>> BRWSR.IO/QJNNpdG

I am exciting for this, being a Challenge fanatic since the Road Rules days. The fact that this is for charity makes it even better. My only complaint would be both Ashley’s being cast. Ashley K won during a weak season & hasn’t really shown us anything, even during her return this season. The same with the other Ashley, she did win but again not a strong season & not on her own. I am hoping they both will prove me wrong.

Season 30 is filing now. They have the cast already and some people have already been eliminated. You can see spoilers on vevmo .com 🙂

I’m actually really excited for this season. And judging by all the issues vevmo is having with figuring out which female cast has been eliminated it’s going to be a good one. Frankly invasion sucked.

    Ashley M is so annoying.

      That’s putting it lightly!
