For the first time since being indicted on multiple counts of fraud, Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Teresa and Joe Giudice have spoken out about their lives in the shadows of their looming court cases.
In an interview with GMA, Teresa and Joe talked briefly about how they’ve maintained under all the weight of their legal issues and how the tense situation has made them closer than ever.
Teresa: I can’t just be upset and crawl up in a ball and just go in a room and lock the door. I can’t. I’m a mom. I have 4 daughters.
GMA: What have you specifically told your kids about what mommy and daddy are going through?
Teresa: My 3 little ones, they really don’t know what’s going on. My oldest does know something’s going on… But we say, “Mommy and Daddy have a legal team that’s handling it.”
GMA: You say you’ve got to be strong for the wife and kids. How do you do that with so much uncertainty?
Joe: You have to you know. You really have to. You have to be strong-minded number one. If you’re weak, you’re not going to make it.
Even in the midst of their legal issues which could result in serious jail time and Joe possibly being deported, Teresa still managed to plug some products as part of the interview.
GMA: Joe, what do you think of when you see all that Teresa’s done since she started the show?
Joe: I’m proud of her. It’s good.
Teresa on Joe’s cheating allegations: No rumor is ever going to come between us. If anything, through all of this, it’s made us stronger and we’re grateful for that.
