In a Facebook post on Sunday night, Vin Diesel revealed Fast & Furious 7 will premiere on April 10, 2015. That is three months earlier than the expected release date of July 11, 2015.
“He’d want you to know first,” Vin Diesel said in the caption for the top photo of him and Paul Walker. The image is supposedly from the last scene the long-time friends filmed together. Vin described the moment as having a “unique sense of completion, of pride we shared… In the film we were now completing… The magic captured… And, in just how far we’ve come.”
Reports about how producers planned to handle the latest installment of Fast & Furious in the wake of Paul’s death varied, particularly after Universal Studios halted production. Most recently, The Hollywood Reporter reported writers managed to “retire” Paul’s character by changing the script and using scenes he already shot.
