Britney Spears is in talks with HarperCollins imprint It Books to publish a roman a clef (a fictionalized version of her own life experiences.) No word yet on expected publish date, but if this pans out Britney will join the ranks of Snooki and Lauren Conrad.
There’s no doubt that Britney Spears has had a unique life, even for a pop star, and personally I wouldn’t mind reading hearing about it from her point of view. Of course, there will no doubt be a ghost writer helping her, and because it’s fiction, some of the things in the book won’t be true at all in order to keep us guessing (and possibly protect Britney and some of the people in her life.) Can’t wait to see how Sam Lufti’s character is handled.
Britney Spears previously released a nonfiction book with her mom Lynne Spears in 2000 called Britney Spears’ Heart to Heart. In 2008, right after Britney’s most difficult period, Lynne Spears released a memoir called Through The Storm.
