The ratings are in and it’s official: Here Comes Honey Boo Boo is a smash hit! TLC’s Toddlers & Tiaras spin-off starring the beautimous and sassified six-year-old Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson hit the ground running with just over 2 million people tuning in to the series premiere on August 8, with very little drop off the next week. The success seems to have TLC scrambling as they are now back in McIntyre, Georgia (Honeyboobootropolis) hoping to add more episodes to the six originally announced back in May.
(And just in case you might have thought the show wouldn’t be able to sustain its viewership, the ratings for episode 5 last week were the highest yet, with 2.336 million viewers!)
The photos above were taken yesterday and show some of the TLC crew outside Alana’s abode. It appears as though the family is inside filming at the time.
On Honey Boo Boo’s unofficial official Facebook fan page (run by Alana’s mom June and a friend) they have been talking about filming this week for “Episode 11,” so I don’t know if that means TLC already has four more episodes ready to go or not. Either way, Alana and her family (and fans like us!) are really excited about the success of their show and the fact that they are filming again:
August 20: “well only 2 more days and we start filming again for episode 11 im.excited and doing another Pageant this saturday too and my and annas bday is a week from Tuesday on the 28th…”
August 20: “Hey everyone, thanks for all your cont. support thru everything going on right now! We appreciate it very much! Can’t wait until Wed. we start filming for the 11th episode as well a new episode of ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’ @ 10|9ct only on TLC.”
August 21: “well went a see our production crew and now going out to eat with our sound girl woohoo can’t til tomorrow after school to start filming episode 11…”
August 23: “oh k alana is excited she gets to see uncle lee her poodle when she gets home from school day 2 of filming is going good getting ready for the pageant in Cochran this weekend if u would like to come cheer her on its going to b at the Cochran-bleckley chamber of commerce auditorium at 2 and ppl have also asked bout a fan mail address it is po box 72 mcintrye ga 31054 she has LOVED the fan mail so far and ppl have asked when her bday is its Tuesday the 28th of this month along with her sister anna thanks fir the continued support from y’all and will post ratings later today when we receive them”
August 24: “Woohoo! Thanks y’all for another GREAT week! We truely have some AMAZING fans!!!! The show is yet another hit thanks to y’all, I hope you will all be tuning in next week to see what happens & see if baby Kaitlyn is born or will she wait a few more weeks? Just have to wait & see! 🙂 SN- Production ran late today so everyone is exhausted, Alana got lots of fan-mail today but wasn’t able to open it due to filming so she’ll do that tomorrow & will post pix! Thanks again for all the love & support! xoxo DUCES, Honey Boo Boo Child!”
August 25: “Gettin settle for the night after another great day of production gonna be long day tomorrow Alana has a pageant and the filmin crew will be hangin out with us at everyone who can make it is welcome to come out an cheer her on, its goin to me in Cochran, GA @ Cochran-bleckley chamber of commerce auditorium at 2pm – hope to c some of u there!”
August 25: “gettin ready for the pagaent hope I win a big trophy & monnnnney! those other girls think they gonna beat me must be crazy, honey boo boo child! ~ hope to see lots of my fans here today! remembers we r at the Cochran-bleckley chamber of commerce auditorium, pageant starts at 2pm c-ya’ll there!”
