Exclusive peek into the future! John Krasinski and Emily Blunt tie the knot!
John Krasinki’s rep has confirmed with People and Just Jared that the 29-year-old The Office star is engaged to his 26-year-old girlfriend, actress Emily Blunt. I’m gonna stretch the bounds between fiction and reality by dubbing the celebrity couple “Jimily.” You saw it here first! (If I absolutely have to use “real” names I guess the two will be cursed with the unpleasant moniker “Bluntinski.”)
The pair have kept their relationship under the media radar since they began dating in November 2008. They arrived separately at the SAG awards and have done a good job keeping mum about each other to the press.
So far the biggest news in their relationship was when they went on a double date with Anne Hathaway (Blunt’s The Devil Wears Prada costar) and her boyfriend Adam Shulman.
Blunt was previously in a long-term relationship (3 years!) with Michael Bublé, and Krasinski previously dated Rashida Jones, who briefly played his girlfriend on The Office.
John Krasinki’s character, Jim Halpert’s romance with Pam Beesly (Jenna Fischer) has gone from the classic sitcom frustrated-sexual-tension and near-misses to a successful and sweet love affair. The two characters are so charming and cute that fans of the Office (like myself) have fallen in love with them just as much as they are in love with each other. Their happiness is infectious, and hopefully John Krasinski is as happy off screen as his character is on screen.
Jenna Fischer is also engaged! Maybe it’ll be a double-wedding . . .
