In the spirit of the super-popular and super-hilariously dark site Garfield Minus Garfield, I decided to try out the concept on some other famous comic strips. The results were waaaaaaay less amusing! (The existential angst that is Jon Arbuckle is hard to match when you’re talking about comic strip peripherals) I decided to go with Ziggy Minus Ziggy because I found that in 75% of Ziggy strips it doesn’t matter if he’s there or not. For example:
On the other hand, there are some that take on a bit of a surreal quality without Ziggy like these two (click on the image for a larger version):
Ahhhhh…square bubbles and catastrophe-loving goldfish! I think I may have tapped into the “Stardust” half of Ziggy!
