VIDEO Justin Bieber addresses Mariah Yeater pregnancy accusations on The Today Show
Though it was hard to make out through the screams of the Bieber Army, Justin Bieber went on the offensive via Today and flat out denied allegations that he impregnated Mariah Yeater. If you’ve missed the whole story, Yeater has filed papers claiming that Justin knocked her up backstage during a performance at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

This would have been in October of last year and at the time Justin was 16-years-old and Yeater was 19. If the suit was actually proven to be accurate then police would consider opening an investigation into Yeater and the fact that this act would constitute statutory rape according to California law (but it would be a misdemeanor because of Romeo and Juliet laws.) She is asking a judge for child support of her baby-boy born in July and a paternity test. A hearing is scheduled for Dec. 15. One would not affect the other legally, they are two separate issues.
Here is the clip of the Q&A with Matt Lauer about the scandal followed by a transcript of the interview:
Matt Lauer: There is a lot of good that comes with celebrity, you know that.
Justin Bieber: Yeah.
ML: There is also a pretty white hot spotlight and you found yourself under it recently with headlines that there is someone who is filing a paternity suit saying you’re the father of her three-month-old son. What would you like to say about that?
JB: I’d just like to say, basically, that none of those allegations are true, and I know that I am going to be a vict – I’m gonna be a target, but I’m never going to be a victim, you know. I think it’s just crazy because every night after the show I’m gone right from the stage right to my car, so it’s crazy that some people want to make up such false allegations. But, to set the record straight, none of it is true.
ML: Do you know this woman? Her name is Mariah Yeater. Have you ever met her?
JB: Never met the woman, so.
ML: OK. Alright, well obviously this is what comes along with “life in the fast lane” as they say.

In addition to the scandal, Bieber talked about his new Christmas album that just came out titled Under the Mistletoe which features some slightly deeper vocals from the Biebs alongside guest vocalists that include Usher, Mariah Carey, Busta Rhymes, and Boyz II Men.
He was also able to talk about how some of the album sales would be going to charity, including a food bank that his mother got food from when he was growing up. Here’s the full interview for those Beliebers out there interested in more than just the pregnancy story:
