MTV went back to their vault and unearthed some footage of Ariana Grande from ten years ago — and it’s hard to believe it’s really her. A contemporary commenter even notes that Ariana somehow looked *older* ten years ago.
In 2008, 15-year-old Ariana Grande made her showbiz debut with the role of Cat Valentine on Nickelodeon’s Victorious. In the clip below, filmed while the role was still fresh, Ariana says she wants to continue her creative career, whether she’s on Broadway or acting. Of course she had no idea she would soon become a pop superstar:
A decade later, part of the startling difference in Ariana’s appearance is the fact that Ariana is styled much differently now. Her hair is almost always sleekly straight and swept up in her signature high ponytail — or some sort of up do — instead of the natural curly look she sported back then.
Of course, there are rumors that Ariana has had surgical alterations to her appearance. There’s been speculation about a nose job, lip injections, and even a brow lift. If true, the brow lift rumor may explain why Ariana has a more youthful appearance now, in her mid-twenties, than she did when she was a young teen.
In any case, Ariana is definitely known for looking young. Twitter recently erupted when someone pointed out that Ariana Grande and Cardi B are the same age:
