The Walking Dead Mid-Season 4 official poster revealed
Arguably the most anticipated show of 2014 has released its first teaser image, as The Walking Dead has revealed its official Mid-Season 4 poster.
{Spoiler Alert} The artwork shows a grown looking Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) and father Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) walking down the center ties of a railroad track with a foreboding sky awaiting them. In blood-red lettering it reads, “Don’t look back,” harkening to the desperate advice Rick gave his son after The Governor left the haven of their prison home in utter chaos and shambles.
AMC just wrapped up a marathon turn featuring every episode of the smash hit. Having caught pieces of that run, it was amazing to see the growth of the characters from the beginning (I mean Glenn really looked like a kid in his debut as compared to now).
If you’re one of the folks who hasn’t tuned in because you believe TWD is just a “show about zombies” do yourself a favor and jump in. Through the first 3 and a half seasons they’ve managed to develop some of the most interesting and dynamic characters on TV.
It’s hard to think of another drama that has created such an overwhelmingly hostile and brutal environment that it demands of its viewers to ask impossibly difficult questions like, “Is it really worth fighting to simply be alive?” And, “Does being on the side of right or wrong at some point not even matter?”
As the haggard crew led by Rick moves on it will be interesting to see how they go about addressing these questions and more.
Here’s the brief preview trailer also shared by AMC:
As the poster reveals (you can click on the image for a full-page HI-RES view), the 2nd half of season 4 premieres Sunday, February 9 at 9/8c.
