Teresa Giudice prison diary excerpts and new photo with family

Teresa Giudice prison diary

The Real Housewives of New Jersey‘s Teresa Giudice is currently serving 15 months in prison for a fraud conviction–but, ever the opportunist, the reality star is looking to turn this negative into a positive by working on a memoir while behind bars. In addition to documenting her life up to and including her time on Bravo, Teresa will also detail her prison experience — and, to that end, she is keeping a daily diary.

New excerpts from Teresa’s prison diary are included in this week’s issue of Us Weekly, and they include lots of details about Teresa’s meals, her workout regimen, and her conversations with her family. Here are some examples, along with a new photo of Teresa (in green prison khakis) and her family:

January 26, Day 21 I went to lunch at 10:20. I had tater tots, a soy burger that was so gross and orange! I also had some potato salad. They feed us so much here. I’m going to have potatoes coming out of my ears pretty soon! February 1, Day 27 Great Mass. I enjoy [going to church], it makes me feel good after I go and during. I feel like God is really present there with me. February, undated There is a lady in here, she hit her roommate. The officers are up here now to evaluate the situation. She is a crazy lady who fights with everyone. March 16, Day 70 I got an email from Gia. She got an award for perseverance. I started crying at the computer. I was so happy for her, and saying to myself, “That is my daughter.”

In addition to the transcribed excerpts and photo above, Us also shared a photo of a couple of pages from Teresa’s diary from March 2 and March 3. They seem to give a more complete look at Teresa’s daily schedule, which includes lots of yoga, phone calls to the family, checking emails, and…watching Bravo? Here’s what I could make out from the photo:

Went to lunch at 3:00 had chicken fried rice. Count was at 4:00 then went to [???] at 5:30 to 6:30. Took a shower. Count was at 9:00. Watched Shahs of Sunset at 10:00 to 11. Then watched Andy Cohen at 11. Went to bed after that at 11:30. Called the girls after school around 4:30. Loved talking to them, loved hearing their voices. And my mom and dad. Called Joe after that to speak to him [???] They are all I think about all day long. I pray that GOD help me to go back home to be with my daughters & my husband. Please GOD help me. I love you. Tuesday March 3 – Woke up at 6:15 PM. Went to breakfast at 6:30 had chocolate chip muffin and an apple [???] had my coffee. Went to the gym at 9AM [??] yoga. Went to commissary at 7:30. Every Tuesday is shopping day. Bob Harper Tape it felt great after doing it. Yoga is keeping me sane in here really. Went to lunch at 10:30 AM. Had [???] bad salads. Checked emails with my coffee. Went to the gym with [??] at 1:00 to 2:30. Did Bob Harper Tape [???] Count was at 4pm. After that called home spoke to my gals + my mom + dad. Went to step class at 5:30 to 6:30 pm. Showered then hung out then went to rec room at 8pm to watch the race then count at 9pm then after that RHOBH was on till 10 pm. Checked emails going to bed at [???] 11pm.

I thought it was especially interesting that Teresa had to make separate phone calls to speak with Joe–which of course could only mean that the kids were staying with Teresa’s parents on these two particular days.

Teresa Giudice will remain in prison for another five months; she’ll be released to home confinement in late December. She will finish her sentence in early February, at which point her husband Joe Giudice will reportedly begin serving his 41-month sentence.
