Steve Carell has excrutiating cameo in Ricky Gervais’ new show Life’s Too Short

Yay! Steve Carell, famous for playing the lovable, Americanized version of Ricky Gervais’ insufferable office boss, has a cameo in Gervais and pal Stephen Merchant’s newest comedy series Life’s Too Short.

Ricky revealed that detail in a promo video for the show with the instructions to Tweet it. Tweet it, blog it, mail it to your grandmother, this is some exciting stuff. Not only is Steve Carell in the show, but Ricky claims it’s “one of the most excruciating scenes we’ve ever done.”

Life’s Too Short is the third series written and directed by the serendipitous duo Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. It stars Warwick Davis as a jacked up version of himself: A showbiz dwarf running a dwarf entertainment agency. Ricky and Stephen guest star as themselves, and Steve Carell joins Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Sting, Liam Neeson, and among others as celebrity cameos in the mockumentary-style farce. It hits the states via HBO in 2012.
