Samantha Ronson and Lindsay Lohan dated for a couple of years and although their relationship seemed quite sweet at first, they quickly started making headlines for their epic fights. During one instance, the cops were even called to Samantha’s house. While neither party commented much on the romance during or after it ended, Samantha’s mother Ann Dexter-Jones is now opening up about their drama-filled courtship.
“I was seriously anxious about Samantha’s safety and well being. I feared tragedy,” Anne told the Daily Mail. “It got to a point that I wasn’t sleeping very well.” Apparently, things between Samantha and Lindsay were much worse than anyone had thought and for Ann, things started becoming worrisome in November of 2008, several months before their April 2009 split.

Samantha had been hired that month to DJ the grand opening party for The Atlantis in Dubai and brought along girlfriend Lindsay. “Suddenly, without any warning, Lindsay flung herself on to the thick carpet and started to roll around screaming like a child,” said Ann, recalling the odd incident. “It seemed she was upset that people, including Samantha, were not paying her enough attention. To my mind, it was classic psychotic behavior. I took Lindsay aside and told her not to make a spectacle of herself. She was clearly out of control and spoiling for a fight.”
After that night, Ann knew that she had to do something to separate herself — and her daughter Samantha — from Lindsay and her crazy ways. “I told them I could no longer support them as a couple. I no longer approved on them being together and that Lindsay was no longer welcome in my home,” Ann explained. “I saw how much pain my daughter was in and the she was suffering deeply. She is a very Zen person and not used to the kind of turmoil that Lindsay seems to thrive on.”
In April of 2009, Samantha and Lindsay split. At the time, Samantha’s distain for the constant press and paparazzi attention was cited for the split. Samantha went on to strike up a romance with actress Erin Foster (daughter of David Foster) but they broke up after nine months of dating.
