VIDEO Robin Thicke blames Miley Cyrus for VMA controversy in Oprah interview: ‘I’m the twerkee!’

Miley Cyrus twerking on Robin Thicke VMAs

Robin Thicke hasn’t said much about his now-infamous performance with Miley Cyrus at the MTV Video Music Awards, but in a new interview with Oprah airing later tonight, he makes one thing clear: it was all Miley’s fault.

“Well, I was on stage, I didn’t see it, you know?” Robin says when Oprah asks him if he thought of the performance as sexual. “So to me, I’m walking out towards Miley, I’m not thinking ‘sex,’ I’m thinking ‘fun.’ So I’m sitting there, I’m looking up to the sky, I’m singing. I’m not really paying attention to all that. That’s on her.”

Oprah looked doubtful, although we won’t know until the interview airs (Sunday night at 9/8c on OWN) if she really took him to task. But, she did offer this gem: “She was twerking up against your kahoonas!”

Robin still refused any responsibility, saying, “I’m the twerkee! I’m twerked upon. I don’t twerk myself, okay? I’m just twerked upon.”

See Oprah? Robin is the victim here! Being on the receiving end of an unsuspected drive-by twerking can be quite twaumatizing and it could happen to any one at any time. Like this:

Last week, Miley appeared on Ellen and said Robin was fully aware of what was going to happen. “He was in rehearsals as much as I was and he was loving it, people!”
