Lisa Linehan is a goal setter, and her current objective is to get married. So, taking a cue of the absurd from The Bachelorette she’s gone ahead and planned the wedding and set a date.
As for the fiance, that’s being settled by a media project titled Project Husband, sponsored by the Forth Worth CW 33.
On Tuesday, February 15, 2011 Lisa plans to get married at the Piazza in the Village in Colleyville, TX. She picked her grandparents anniversary date, and is planning events to meet her potential mate: matchmaking mixers for herself. She’ll be working with some non-profit organizations to help benefit the community while she goes on her quest.
“I am an independent person who would like to be married, and this situation is just a different way of going about it. It’s not entirely different from ‘The Bachelorette.’ It’s more honest, and it provides more time, and it’s more organic in many ways.”
But what happens if she doesn’t happen to meet a man she’s willing to pledge her life to? She tells lemondrop.com “The vendors and I have talked about donating the ceremony to a couple in the area who needs it. So somebody will get married!”
