Rachel Weisz to play Jackie Kennedy in ‘Jackie’

Knockout Academy-Award winner (Best Supporting Actress for The Constant Gardner)  Rachel Weisz is on board to play legendary first lady Jackie Kennedy – Jackie ‘O’ in the upcoming film Jackie to be directed by her fiancee Darren Aronofsky (The Wrestler, Requiem for a Dream).

I can’t say that I blame Aronofsky for showing a little hometown bias.  His lady has the talent to carry a film as well as the classic beauty that Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis has come to symbolize.  Jackie will focus on the four days in Jackie Kennedy’s life between JFK’s assassination and burial.  The script was written by Noah Oppenheim.

I can’t decide which I like more, Darren’s ‘stache or Rachel’s legs.  That is a tough call.  Aronofsky is currently putting the finishing touches on Black Swan starring Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis.  Some guys get ALL the breaks ‘STACHE POWER!  IMDB shows Weisz currently working on two movies in pre-production, Unbound Captives and Bond 23.

This will not be the first hook-up for this Hollywood “hook-up”.  Aronofsky directed Weisz in the 2006 film The Fountain which has a composite “mixed or average” review score of 51 on Metacritic. I haven’t seen The Fountain yet but I want to check it out.  After The Wrestler Aronofsky gets the benefit of the doubt in my book.

Let’s get one more look at the lovely Rachel Weisz:
