It’s official! Tami Farrell is a star! I was browsing through some of the photos over at Fame pictures and my heart stopped and a tear welled up in my eye when I saw lil Tami there playing the part of paparrazi lens candy! (Sniffle.)
One of my favorite starcasm posts was the one I did back when Carrie PreJean was dethroned and runner-up Tami Farrell was announced as her replacement. I had done some background research for a post on Tami a few weeks prior in anticipation of Donald Trump firing PreJean over the topless photos scandal. I remember watching Trump’s press conference and being genuinely disappointed for Tami when it was announced PreJean would retain her crown. Then, out of the blue a few weeks later, there was this big influx of traffic on the Tami post and sure enough, Carrie had been stripped of her crown!
I immediately started working on a congratulatory post for the brand new Miss California and the result was an unflinchingly happy celebration. Maybe it was the perfect mixture of a young woman’s dream coming true, cornification and an undeniably joyous tune you just can’t help but sing along to. Or maybe it was just Tami’s awesomeness. Whatever the reason, I found myself revisiting that post for weeks and it would inevitably brighten my day. Anyhoo, it gives me great pleasure to present our first official Tami Farrel paparrazi photo shoot featuring the lovely Miss California entering Hollywood makeup artist Valerie Sarnell’s 2009 Emmy Awards Event, held at the Valerie Beverly Hills store on September 16, 2009. (Actually, Fame refers to her as “Tami Nichole Farrell” and even mentions her “trademark toothy smile!” Trademark toothy smile?!? When did that happen?)
