Nene Leakes is putting her money where her mouth is. After achieving financial success with The Real Housewives of Atlanta as well as other reality shows, scripted TV, and Broadway, Ms. Leakes is throwing down some serious cash on a new home that’s fit for someone who’s ‘very rich.’
The house is 10,000 square feet with 6 bedrooms and 7 baths. It’s a new construction home located in a gated golf community in Sugarloaf Country Club- an area in which Nene has lived for years. According to loan documents obtained by dailymail.com, Nene made a down payment of $750,000 and took out a mortgage for the remaining $1.3 million. Ah chump change for someone as rich as Nene!

To get into the gated community, you will need to spend anywhere from $500,000 up to $6,000,000. The Sugarloaf Country Club provides members access to a 27-hole Greg Norman-designed golf course, three private lakes and 14 tennis courts, plus an Olympic competition swimming pool. It’s located about 40 miles outside Atlanta (Remember all the women on the show complaining how far away Nene lived?).
