PHOTOS Anna Nicole Smith items to be auctioned off in Las Vegas
Fans of the late Anna Nicole Smith can now own a part of her life thanks to an auction of some of her possessions to be held June 26 in Las Vegas. Larry Birkhead is the father of Anna Nicole’s daughter, Dannielynn, and is selling his former partner’s things to raise money for charity as well as “Dannielynn’s future.”
Among the items up for auction are a number of dresses worn by Anna, a 1992 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster given to her by her late husband J. Howard Marshall, original artwork by her, Marilyn Monroe collectibles, purses and even the pink froo-froo bed that she purchased for her miniature poodle, Sugar Pie.
Birkhead tells Reuters, “It’s like, do I want to hold on to one of Anna’s dresses, or do I want to try to help Dannielynn’s future?” He mentions private school and security as things Dannielynn, 3, needs help paying for.
“Dannielynn has different needs than other kids,” he said. “She has to have security because we have a lot of curious people and it creates a bit of a problem. And now that she’s starting school, she’ll need to go to a private school.”
The auction will be held Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas and will be conducted by Julien’s Auctions.
An original painting by Anna Nicole Smith of The Powderpuff Girls‘ character ‘Bubbles’ is one of the Smith originals you can purchase.
