PHOTO Honey Boo Boo’s sister Anna “Chickadee” Shannon gets married
You better wedneckognize! Little Alana Thompson now has her first brother-in-law after her older sister, Anna “Chickadee” Shannon, married her fiancé, truck mechanic Michael Cardwell, in ceremony in Georgia on Saturday, May 3.
“I’m so excited to be marrying Michael,” Anna, 19, told People prior to the ceremony. “[My daughter] Kaitlyn and I are very lucky to have him, and we can’t wait to grow our family. I can’t wait to be his wife.” People also shared the following photo of Anna, daughter Kaitlyn and Michael from the wedding:
As you can tell from the photo, Anna and Michael didn’t opt for the wedneck theme that Mama June and Sugar Bear chose for their headline-grabbing camo commitment ceremony last May. (The photo of Anna and Michael at the top of this post is from that ceremony, at which Anna and Michael caught the bouquet and garter belt respectively.)
Radar Online spilled deets on the wedding on April 15, with a source revealing that Anna and Michael “planned the entire wedding themselves, with no help from a wedding planner,” before adding that they were also writing their own vows.
As far as her wedding dress, Radar’s source said Anna would be wearing a white silk dress she found on Lightinthebox.com for $212, a thrifty price her “Coupon Queen” must have been proud of!
Meanwhile, Anna’s sisters Jessica (Chubbs, 16) and Lauryn (Pumpkin, 13) were reportedly planning on wearing teal and white dresses from Forever 21.
Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson and Anna’s daughter Kaitlyn were flower girls for the ceremony.
Congratulations to Anna and Michael! We can’t wait to see the wedding on the next season of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, premiering on TLC on June 19!
