Miley Cyrus and her fiance Liam Hemsworth were rumored to have split after his alleged tryst with actress January Jones following a Pre-Oscar bash last month. Reports circulated that the two called off their wedding and when Miley was spotted sans engagement ring, it seemed to be confirmed that they were no longer a couple. However, the ring has since returned.
Yesterday, Miley took to Twitter where she wrote, “It’s a onezie PARTY (of one),” along with a photo in which she is clearly wearing — and showing off — the 3.5 carat Neil Lane diamond ring that Liam proposed to her with in May of last year.
Still, the pair hasn’t been seen together in several weeks. Currently, Liam is vacationing with family in Australia where he was said to have flown in order to get “a break from Miley.” He also recently made an appearance in the Philippines where he was promoting his clothing line Bench.
Despite all the speculation, Miley has reassured fans that their wedding isn’t off and advised them not to believe everything that they read.
Last week, Miley revealed that the reason behind her ring’s absence was that it needed to be repaired in some way. After one of her back-up dancers tweeted that she had to send her engagement ring back to the store to be fixed, Miley wrote, “Ugh that’s the worst! I just had a similar situation except when it happens to me then everyone says my wedding is off.”
As for Miley’s wacky costume, it seems to go hand-in-hand with her campaign to ban horse carriages which she was promoting via tweets on Tuesday.
