A funny thing happened this weekend: Simon Cowell got pelted with eggs on live British TV on Britain’s Got Talent by a BAFTA-nominated composer who wanted revenge on him for his “dreadful influence on the music industry.”

Natalie Holt, who auditioned for the show in 2012 with ner now defunct band Raven Quartet, told The Telegraph “I basically took a stand against people miming on television and against Simon and his dreadful influence on the music industry.”

Here’s the video of the egg throwing:

Even though she didn’t get a spot on the the popular show last year, Natalie is a hugely accomplish musician. She plays the viola, violin, piano, mouth organ, guitar, Chinese harp and also sings, and has worked with the likes of Gwen Stefani and Andrea Bocelli.

About 13 million people tuned into the the live show, and got to witness Simon’s egging.

What do you think about Natalie’s public protesta against Simons’s “dreadful influence?” Desperate, or awesome?
