Jonas Brothers cancel tour at last minute due to ‘deep rift within the band’

Why did the Jonas Brothers cancel their tour?

If you had tickets to the Jonas Brothers tour that was set to begin on Friday, check your email for refund details! The former Disney stars’ representative confirmed today they canceled the 19-date tour.

“There is a deep rift within the band,” spokesman Jesse Derris told People. “There was a big a disagreement over their music direction.”

The last-minute cancellation reportedly comes on the heels of a weekend fight among Nick, Joe and Kevin. Although the official word from Jesse is that the band’s future “remains to be seen,” another source said the situation isn’t so dire.

“Now that they can make more decisions about their career, they are taking it super seriously because they want to be around 30 years from now,” a source told Hollywood Life. “So canceling a tour to get their sh*t together will pay off handsomely in their future. They are not going not break up.”

Even if the band doesn’t break up, the decision to cancel the tour is frustrating fans — many of whom booked non-refundable hotels or made other arrangement for the concerts.

“What a bunch of idiots to screw up employment for people, agencies and venues involved with the tour across 19 cities,” one person wrote online.

The brothers haven’t commented since the cancellation was announced.
