Joe Giudice nearing reality show deal, but doesn’t have Teresa Giudice’s approval

Joe Giudice Reality Show

With Teresa Giudice behind bars until next February, Real Housewives of New Jersey‘s Joe Giudice has hatched a plan to get the family back on TV while his wife is away: According to E! News, which is owned by the same parent company as Bravo, Joe is in talks to have his own show about the trials and tribulations of life as Mr. Mom.

An insider said the talks are still in the early stages, but it looks like one potential obstacle will be earning Teresa’s approval. The source said Teresa “wants to know all the details” and that the final call is up to her. The whole family wants the show to portray them in a positive light.

If everyone can come to agreement, production would start as soon as possible — which is necessary, considering Joe will likely begin his 41-month prison sentence in March 2016, one month after Teresa is scheduled for release.

In a new interview, Joe said he is actually struggling more than his wife and daughters to cope with their new situation.

“I cry more than the girls. I pretty much cry every time I leave. Like a little baby,” Joe said of his weekly visits with Teresa at the Danbury Federal Correctional Institution. He added Teresa keeps busy by working out three times a day and watching TV shows with her new friends.
