Jason Derulo and his posse were “removed” from a Southwest Airlines flight from Reno to Los Angeles this weekend for arguing with crew members.
“[Jason’s] team requested an escort and were denied and they believed the were being treated unfairly,” a source close to the singer told People magazine. “When they voiced their concerns to the airline they were told they could not fly and proceeded on the plane anyway. At that point the Southwest agent called the authorities and removed them.”
The insider said Jason was technically still allowed to fly, but opted “to get a private jet so that he would not miss his gig.” Jason later posted about the incident on Instagram–and seemed to place the blame on his travel agent.
“I had to fire my travel agent for booking me somewhere I wasn’t supposed to be,” he said from a seat on his private jet. “But now we’re here and we’re good.”
Jason appeared at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday night.
