I don’t know about you, but I was pretty excited to see lesbian Brazilian Booty Workout hottie Fernanda Rocha join the cast of The Real Housewives of Orange County this season. Tamra’s exotic friend and trainer was supposed to join newbie Peggy Tanous as a full-time cast member, but all of Bravo’s marketing seems to suggest she might have suffered the fate of potential Real Housewives of New York City cast member Jennifer Gilbert, who wound up mostly on the cutting room floor after being announced as a new RHONYC addition for Season 4 alongside Sonja Morgan.
I first noticed the Fernanda snubbing in some of the commercials for Season 6 which didn’t feature Fernanda in the preview scenes or in the trademark logo shot of all the ladies holding oranges. (Peggy tanous, on the other hand, was included.) There was also mention of “blonds having more fun” in the spots, seemingly in reference to all the ladies.
I realize all of this is speculative and I wouldn’t have written an article except for the fact that I happened to save the banner art from the RHOOC Bravo web site from back when the Season 6 trailer was first released in January and not only did it include Fernanda, but she was front and center! (Due in large part I would guess to her impressive cleavage.) But, when I checked back after the premiere Fernanda had been removed! Here is the before and after followed by a zoomed in version. Fernanda is still listed in the “Bios” section on the site, but she is not included in any of the “extras” like the cast members’ blogs, cribs videos or “Before They Were Housewives” photo album, although Peggy Tanous is in all of them. (The dead give away for me was the fact that Fernanda wasn’t included in the “OC Bikini Bods” photo album. What?!? No way!)
We contacted Bravo and asked what Fernanda’s official status is, but have received no response.
