Freddie Prinze Jr. calls Kiefer Sutherland ‘the most unprofessional dude in the world’
Freddie Prinze Jr.’s career almost didn’t live another day after his experience working with Kiefer Sutherland on 24 in 2010.
“It was terrible. I hated every moment of it,” Freddie told ABC News of working with the 24 star. “I just wanted to quit the business after that. So, I just sort of stopped.”
After appearing on multiples episodes as Cole Ortiz, Freddie didn’t do any film or TV work for nearly two years. He’s since resumed work in Witches of East End and Star Wars Rebels, but hasn’t forgotten the bad experience on 24.
“Kiefer was the most unprofessional dude in the world,” Freddie said of his fellow second-generation actor. “That’s not me talking trash, I’d say it to his face. I think everyone that’s worked with him has said that.”
Freddie didn’t stop there…
“I went and worked for Vince McMahon at the WWE, for Christ’s sake… But, at least he was cool and tall. I didn’t have to take my shoes off to do scenes with him, which they made me do [at 24],” he said. “Just put the guy on an apple box or don’t hire me next time. You know I’m 6 feet and he’s 5’4.”
The mini-feud seems to have come out of nowhere as Kiefer praised Freddie as a “great actor” in a 2009 interview.
