Flipping Out star Jenni Pulos is one Bravolebrity who wasn’t sipping champagne on New Year’s Eve. Why, you ask? She’s expecting! Jenni and her husband Jonathan Nassos, who wed on an episode of last season’s show, will welcome their first child some time this spring.
“I didn’t think it would happen so quickly. I was open to IVF or adoption,” Jenni tells Us Weekly. Prior to the pregnancy, Jenni suffered a miscarriage, which led to her thinking that having children may present a challenge. Luckily for her, that was not the case.
Now 17 weeks along, Jenni has mixed emotions about entering into motherhood for the first time. “I won’t lie,” she begins, “I’m scared! I’m like, ‘How am I going to be a mom? I’m so immature!’ But I’m going for it. It’s so exciting.”
One person she hasn’t doubted throughout her pregnancy is her husband. “I see the kind of son and brother he is, and I know he’ll be a great father … Right now he’s dad to our dogs,” Jenni explains. “He even gets them to kiss my belly.”
In addition to her Us Weekly announcement, Jenni also tweeted about her big news earlier this afternoon. She wrote, “Thank you @UsWeekly for the beautiful feature. I am so very grateful for the best Christmas/New Year/Bday gift ever. #YesIamPregnant.”

* On a Flipping Out behind-the-scenes drama sidenote, Jenni’s costar Jeff Lewis, who is suing Jenni over her as-yet-unpublished memoir Hang in There, Baby!, has remained silent about the pregnancy so far. Although I should point out that he isn’t all that active on social media, so perhaps we shouldn’t read much into his silence.
