George Zimmerman released, ordered to give up guns, served divorce papers in jail

It appears as though George Zimmerman is being separated from two things that were once very dear to him: his guns and his wife. After being arrested yesterday in an domestic disturbance incident yesterday in which he allegedly pointed a shotgun in his girlfriend’s face, Zimmerman went before a judge today who allowed him to be released on $9,000 bond, but with certain conditions attached, including that Zimmerman give up his firearms. Prior to being released, however, Zimmerman’s estranged wife Shellie Zimmerman used the opportunity to finally serve her elusive husband with divorce papers! George Zimmerman’s wife Shellie Zimmerman filed for divorce on Thursday, less than two months after her husband was acquitted of second-degree murder charges by a jury for the shooting death of Florida teen Trayvon Martin. “I think I’m realizing that I have been married to a person for almost seven years, and I don’t think that I ever really knew him at all,” Shellie Zimmerman said in an interview with Good Morning America shortly after filing for divorce. “I have a selfish husband. And I think George is all about George,” she added.
