We all love a good villain, so there’s nothing better than a good villain backstory. In Disney’s Maleficent Angelina Jolie depicts the transformation of a good hearted fairy into the “the Mistress of All Evil” after she suffers a staggering betrayal and loses her fairy wings. This new live-action movie, (out May 30) written by Linda Woolverton, offers a backstory to the evil fairy character created for the 1959 animated version of Sleeping Beauty.
The newest official trailer for Disney’s live-action revisitation of their classic 1959 animated film Sleeping Beauty has been released featuring Angelina Jolie as the titular villainess Maleficent — and it can only be described as Jolieficent!
Maleficent, Disney’s live-action retelling of the classic Sleeping Beauty from the viewpoint of the villianess, is set to be out July 2014. The film stars Angelina Jolie as the terrifying title role, and her costume and makeup was so convincing she would scare away all the children who visited the set.
