Sean Lowe has officially been announced as the season 17 star of The Bachelor. Sean had previously appeared on Emily Maynard’s season of The Bachelorette where he fell for Emily but was sent home in week 9. Today’s announcement comes after months of speculation over who would score the coveted gig, with Lowe being chosen over former Bachelorette winner (during Ali Fedotowsky’s season) Roberto Martinez, Emily Maynard’s runner-up Arie Luyendyk Jr, and Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte.
