So what’s all the fuss about, there is NOTHING about Ashley that is offensive to me. In an unexplainable move ABC decided to pull a Lane Bryant ad from “Dancing With the Stars” deeming it too racy. Are you crazy? Some of the dances on that show are performed in less than underwear.
Here is the commercial that was apparently too hot for TV:
Yeah Graham is hotter than the 4th of July but certainly not too racy for TV. In an article in the New York Post plus-size (translated curves all day and all night long) model Ashley Graham had the following to say about the ban.
“I was very surprised. The first thing I thought of was Victoria’s Secret commercials, and how they’re just as racy, if not more racy, than Lane Bryant. The models are just a lot smaller than what I am. ABC can’t handle bigger on TV, bigger boobs on a normal-sized woman on TV.”
I can handle bigger on TV, I can handle bigger boobs on a normal size woman. I’m your guy Ashley!
Lane Bryant said ABC refused to air its ad rolling out Cacique, a new line of lingerie, this week during “Dancing with the Stars.” Lane Bryant believes the network is just turned off by big gals.
ABC Vice President Julie Hoover countered:
“Their statements are not true. We were willing to accommodate them, but they chose to seek publicity.”
Lane Bryant acknowledged that ABC offered it a slot in the final 10 minutes of “DWTS” but only with serious editing that would have ruined the essence of the spot.
“We’ve never witnessed this level of content censorship,” said Holly Baird, a rep for the clothier. Even if this was an attempt at self promotion I don’t care. As a red blooded American man I want to see more of Ashley and less of Vicky’s emaciated secret. Here is a screen shot from the add just to prove my point.
